MYOCUM HOMSTEAD
STAY

Set on 100 acres of rolling green pastures in the Byron Bay hinterland, is a century-old country homestead that captures the essence of rural charm and relaxed luxury. This classic Queenslander has been lovingly restored to preserve its heritage and character while introducing modern amenity

Wide verandas wrap around three sides of the home, allowing cool breezes to flow through large french doors. Ancient fig trees frame views of the hinterland mountains, grounding the home in the surrounding landscape. Inside, four generous bedrooms borrow light and views to the countryside, with traditional VJ walls and textured timber floors. The main living room celebrates its heritage features, while the open-plan kitchen and dining area has a wood fireplace and a large family table—creating the perfect place to gather.

The kitchen’s stone island bench and European appliances make entertaining effortless. Two bathrooms blend rustic materials like terracotta floors, concrete basins, and timber panels.  The bathrooms have modern fittings contrasted with an antique clawfoot bath, and both overlooking the countryside.

Adjacent to the homestead, is a converted shed to be used as your private entertaining pavilion with its own bar, drinks fridge, TV, and kitchenette. A shaded pergola links the homestead and pavilion, creating a relaxed outdoor dining space beside the barbecue and brick firepit. Other buildings on the property can be hired separately and in addition to the Homestead for events.

A STAY LIKE NO OTHER

Myocum Farmstead offers an authentic country experience that invites guests to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover the simple pleasures of farm life. To stay within a working cattle farm on a large property, in one of Byron Bay’s few remaining heritage homesteads, is an experience that cannot be recreated.

Just fifteen minutes from Byron Bay’s beaches and vibrant town life, Myocum Farmstead, is a rare blend of pastoral beauty and coastal connection. Myocum is perfectly placed in the centre of the Byron Bay hinterland, where within 20 kilometres you can visit: Byron Bay, Bangalow, Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby, Federal, and Newrybar.  There is a small airport in Tyagarah 8 mins drive away, a regional airport for Byron Bay in Ballina, 22 mins drive away, and the gold coast airport is 55 mins drive away.
